Tell us about yourself.

I am the National Manager of Research Services for a large law firm and an adjunct professor of business ethics. Having both a law degree and a Masters of Library & Information Science, I consider myself a bit of a legal information specialist. I can appreciate both the power of information and the need to use it wisely. I believe that though our libraries and what we have in them may change, this is nothing more than evolution. The human need for information is evolving, and so will the rolls of information professionals and librarians.

How (and when) did you first come to be on Twitter, and how has the experience evolved for you?

I started on Twitter very early on, as a social networking pioneer.  It was not easy going in the beginning and I abandoned it for a bit.  I kept an eye on Twitter though, and it was not long before I found a professional use for its evolved and far-reaching abilities.  I went from a casual user who posted a few times a week to a daily or several-times daily user.

Where are you located? What’s your favorite thing about where you live?

I currently live in Chicago.  I love its history and its Midwestern hospitality.  It is a big city with the heart and charm of a small town.

What are you most excited about sharing with your followers?

My love of information and its ability to transcend borders, social classes, languages and cultures.  As the Internet and the spread of information level the global feeling, I have an optimism that I enjoy expressing!

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not online?

I am an amateur photographer and geocacher.  I love to take my camera and a GPS and head out into the streets and parks.  There is so much beauty hidden out there in the world.  I make it a point to switch off the computer once in a while and go find a little.

Thanks John!
