Each Friday, in honor of the #FollowFriday tradition on Twitter, we will be featuring one of our own Featured Users on the blog.
Today we hear from The Hon. Murray Silver. Judge Silver is a retired Judge from Atlanta who has written a book about his relationship with Martin Luther King (father of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.), entitled Daddy King and Me. He can be found on Twitter as @legaleagle29.

Tell us about yourself.
I am the founder of The Savannah Legal Aid Society and a member of “Who’s Who in American Law.” I maintained a private practice in Atlanta, Georgia for 44 years before becoming a Judge for the Municipal Court of Atlanta, a position I held for eight years, serving with distinction. As a trial lawyer I handled over 3,000 cases in 42 states and eight foreign countries.
How (and when) did you first come to be on Twitter, and how has the experience evolved for you?
I first joined Twitter eight months ago, being alerted to it by my secretary, and a public relations adviser. The experience thus far has been great. I am active on the site, currently follow 90 individuals and enjoy a few followers.
Where are you located? What’s your favorite thing about where you live?
I live on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. I enjoy fishing, walking, collecting art, traveling, delivering speeches, and fund raising for outstanding charities.
What are you most excited about sharing with your followers?
I am most excited about my recently released, non-fiction book, “Daddy King and Me,” which describes the influence of Martin Luther King (father of Martin Luther King, Jr.) on the American political scene for over 30 years. The book also delves into previously undisclosed details concerning President Jimmy Carter, Attorney General Griffin Bell, Senator Sam Nunn, Andrew Young, Coretta Scott King, and other high profile politicians and activists. The book spans 18 years, highlighting the relationship with “The Father of the Civil Rights Movement.”
What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not online?
I love sports, especially college football, basketball, and the New York Yankees.

Thank you, Judge Silver!
